This is a starting draft, not legal advice. Have an attorney review it before you rely on it — particularly the alcohol service and liability sections, which vary by Illinois municipality.
1. Who these terms are between
These terms govern the use of izabellathebartender.com and any private bartending services booked through it, provided by Izabella Bagneschi, trading as Pour Society, Schaumburg, Illinois ("we", "us").
2. Using this website
The content here is provided for general information. We try to keep availability, service descriptions and schedules accurate, but they can change without notice. Nothing on this site is an offer capable of acceptance — a booking exists only once we have confirmed it in writing.
3. Bookings and quotes
- Quotes are based on the date, headcount, location and service length you give us. If those change materially, the quote may change.
- A booking is confirmed when we have confirmed it in writing and received any deposit stated in that confirmation.
- Deposits secure your date. Unless we state otherwise in writing, deposits are non-refundable.
- Final headcount and timings should be confirmed at least seven days before the event.
4. Cancellation
- More than 30 days before the event: any balance paid beyond the deposit is refunded.
- 14 to 30 days before: 50% of the agreed fee remains payable.
- Within 14 days: the full agreed fee remains payable.
- If we have to cancel for reasons within our control, you receive a full refund including the deposit.
5. Alcohol, licensing and responsible service
- We serve responsibly and in line with Illinois law and local ordinance. We will refuse service to anyone who appears intoxicated, and to anyone who cannot produce valid identification.
- Unless agreed otherwise in writing, the client supplies the alcohol and holds any licence or permit the venue or municipality requires.
- The client is responsible for ensuring the venue permits alcohol service at the event.
- We may stop service at any point if we believe continuing would be unsafe or unlawful. No refund is due where service is stopped for those reasons.
6. The client's responsibilities
- Providing safe access, a suitable serving area, power and water where the agreed service needs them.
- Ensuring guests behave lawfully and do not put our staff or equipment at risk.
- Covering the cost of any loss or damage to our equipment caused by guests or the venue.
7. Liability
We carry out our services with reasonable skill and care. To the extent the law allows, our total liability in connection with any booking is limited to the fee paid for that booking. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.
8. Photography
We may photograph drinks and general setup for our own promotional use. We will not post identifiable images of your guests without permission. Tell us before the event if you would prefer no photography at all, and we will respect that.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The version in force for your booking is the one published on the date we confirmed it.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, and the courts of Illinois have exclusive jurisdiction.
